Where to look for a terrace in Málaga
- Historic centre: narrow streets shaded most of the day; the squares (La Merced, La Constitución) are the sunny corners.
- Muelle Uno & La Malagueta: open seafront promenades with sun from morning to late afternoon.
- Soho: wider avenues where terraces alternate sun and shade through the day.
- Pedregalejo & El Palo: beach chiringuitos with sun practically guaranteed.
Sun and shade by season
From June to September shade is what you want: use the “shade only” filter to find terraces protected by buildings. In the mild months, move the time forward in the app to secure the midday sun.

Terraces come from the city's public-space licence register (Ayuntamiento de Málaga, CC BY 4.0) and building heights from the Spanish cadastre. Table positions are estimated from the venue facade; all computation happens in your browser.
